SHARKY'S MACHINE

Price

$20.00

Sharky’s Machine (1981), directed by and starring Burt Reynolds, features a dynamic blend of jazz, soul, and orchestral themes. While most of the score was composed, arranged, and recorded by Doc Severinsen, the soundtrack album is a various-artists soundtrack featuring exclusive studio recordings of classic songs tailored to the film. Highlights include a new version of “Street Life” (original by the Crusaders) performed by Randy Crawford and jazzy vocals by Sarah Vaughan, Peggy Lee, Joe Williams, Julie London, Eddie Harris, Flora Purim & Buddy DeFranco, and more. Burt Reynolds personally curated the soundtrack, selecting standout performances to complement the film’s gritty, neo-noir depiction of Atlanta’s underworld. ()
