This vibrant soundtrack album brings the horror-comedy musical to life with a collection of show tunes adapted from the 1982 Off‑Broadway hit. Produced for the 1986 film, the album features voice performances from the cast—including Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Levi Stubbs, and Steve Martin—and preserves the song-driven energy of Menken and Ashman’s original work. Although some edits and alternate versions differ slightly from the film (notably in “Prologue” and “Some Fun Now”), this LP remains the definitive official release of the movie’s music  .
