MGK (aka Colson Baker) dropped his seventh studio album, lost americana, and Interscope Records on August 8, 2025. It’s his first album featuring no guest artists, focusing entirely on his personal voice and vision.


  • he album trailer features a rare narration by the legendary Bob Dylan, lending an air of Americana mystique. Dylan’s involvement sparked headlines after he was confirmed as a genuine voice in the campaign—not AI—following a social media nod and media buzz.



lost americana is a sprawling collage of American pop-rock—a “Sadboy” palette that touches hip-hop, Americana, hyperpop, Southern rock, and beyond. It leans heavily into nostalgia, repurposing riffs from icons like The Who, Goo Goo Dolls, Semisonic (notably the interpolation of Semi-Charmed Life in “Starman”), and more.
